Margaret O'Brien
Michigan State Representative (Republican)

Vote November 6

Thank you everyone for your generous support, love and friendship. Growing up on the farm as the 3rd child of 4, whose dad had a fifth grade education and a mom with a high school diploma, I never dreamed of being involved in politics. Rather, we were taught to work hard and value God, family and community.

Today, I am here to ask for your support again as I run for re-election for State Representative in the 61st District. You elected me in 2010 because you believed I stood for Michigan. I promised you I would work hard to turn Michigan around by creating a better environment for job growth, balancing the state budget with no gimmicks and eliminating outdated regulations. Your message of accountable and transparent government has been my guiding principle.

While Michigan is improving, we cannot sit still. We must continue to reform our state for a prosperous future. The work done during the last term has been a great start but it is only a start. Now is not the time to go back to the status quo where the state could not pay its bills, havoc reigned at the Capitol, and families left Michigan in droves. Rather, we must continue to fight for Michigan's future - one that allows our children to stay in this great state.

I need your support as we continue to fight for hardworking taxpayers. We must demand a responsive, accountable, and transparent state government. I humbly ask for your vote.
